And I Feel Your Love

The Psalm

My spirit grows with your presence,
but my being decays to death.
My eyes become murky, as dust on the water.
No longer can I thread the needle, fix
the clock, or read your words. But I see your face.
Once firm, my body withers like the
leaves of a parched fruit tree. Once
stout, skin now shreds and bruises
arise. But I feel your love.
My sapling of faith blossoms,
My spirit grows with your presence,
but my body returns to you.

The Song

My spirit grows with your presence,
but my being decays to death.
Eyes grow murky, as silt on the water.
No longer can I read your words.

[chorus] But I see your face
And I feel your love
My sapling of faith blossoms,
My spirit grows with your presence

Once firm, my body withers like the
leaves of a parched fruit tree. Once
stout, skin now shreds and bruises
as time takes its toll on me

[chorus twice]

[coda] but my body returns to you.
